Around 2am tonight we'll be driving to the Seattle airport. Our flight's at 7am tomorrow to California. We'll have a day of training and then take our 11-hour plane ride to Japan the next day.... (at which point we will be in the future, 17 hours ahead!)

Please pray for safe travel, and a spirit of servitude, and self-sacrifice, and boldness. Thanks and blessings to everyone who helped get us here.... arigato gozaimashita!

6 days!!

...and all of our money is raised. More than all of our money, actually. Thanks to several anonymous donors, we're well above where we need to be.... praise God!!!

Still a few more supplies to buy... but we're on our way!

We will be going back to the same hotel in Narita for our first few days of training. Please pray that I will be able to handle being in the same place where I met & got to know Brian last year. In reality, it's the only place I've really seen him in person, aside from the airport.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who is supporting us!! :)

We recently recieved an email from our translator/friend Noriko in Kaminoyama... this summer sounds exciting! :)

Hi How are you? We all here are fine. We can not wait to see you.

Pastor Ito and I talked about this summer and more today. what we have planed so far are:

English lessons for the day care kids in the weekdays' morning(like last year)

cooking or claft class for the mothers of the day care kids

some fun events for the yourth group

English classes(like last year)

camp(maybe)

BBQ party at my house(July 2 BE THERE!!!)

weekend day trip : Mt Gassan, Ginzan onsen, and more

AND these are Yumi and I are planing to make our summer the best:

more ashiyu onsen

visit convinience store as many as we can possible

bowling Japan VS USA( we know which team win anyway)

onsen

sleep over night at my place

massage chair at Jasco(now Yumi works there)

Karaoke(you have to practice new Japanse song for this summer! no more happa song it's so sabui)

Yumi and I become really good friends now. I asked Yumi to come to our church, and she has come couple times already. so please pray for her.

Another thing, Pastor Ito wants to have a team to visit Port Angels maybe 2007. We want to bring yourth group there to experiance American life and camping kinda stuff. Do you think that your church would welcome our team? Therefor , we love to talke about this plan when you come to Kaminoyama this summer. If you bring some information about your town, camping area, and your church thoughts, It will help a lot. Pastor Ito and I (or more) wuold like to visit your 2006 to meet your church member, see the town if you are intersted in having our yourth or adult summer camp minstry group in 2007. we love to hear your thought.

Exciting! The fact that they might come here is really cool! :D

Quick facts...
> In Japan, rice is more expensive than it is in the US.

> You can purchase hot coffee and cold milk from the same vending machine.

> Less than 1% of Japanese are Christians.
