Coming up in this entry: more silly skits, some deep talk about Jesus with the locals, more Eigo classes!

11:59pm :S

Woke up late today and worked on photos for a bit on the laptop. Biked to the daycare @ 10:30ish, taught our 2 songs and did a "Daniel in the Lions' Den" skit and ate curry lunch with the kids (yay curry!) :) My kids love to climb all over me heh, and Arisa-chan is so cute :)

went home and changed and Ito-sensei took us to Toyoko-san's house where we heard some of the history of Kaminoyama and Maureen gave her testimony. They asked a lot of questions about it and Christianity afterward - really good questions which made for great discussion. There was one lady there who they've all been praying for and she said she felt "more comfortable" being Buddhist and going to temples and looking at statues... during the final prayer (as we found out later) me, Laurel and Moe were all inwardly praying that she would feel totally convicted and uncomfortable next time she went to a shrine and looked at statues.

Afterward we walked to the Kamin and poked around upstairs looking for new funny shirts and such, and went back to the house for a bit.

Rode bikes to the church around 7:00 and setup for our adult English classes. Laurel and I ended up with 8 students (beginners) - with ONE guy! It was a great class, our best yet - Noriko2 was there and everyone interacted and was talkative, and having a big class was fun. We did the ball drill a lot and switched up the dialogues and the cue card thing and played English Bingo. Moe had the intermediate class (5 students) and Jeri had Advanced (Noriko-translator and Ito-sensei, hehe) - and overall they said it was the most students they've ever had at adult English classes - yay!!

After classes, the three groups joined together, and the four of us sang "I'll Fly Away" (slightly badly) and Jeri gave her testimony; we then taught "Father I Adore You" to the classes.

Afterward we chatted with Noriko2 and the others for a long while. 2 of the students wanted to study more, so Ito-sensei asked if they could come over Fridays at 8pm (one had an exchange student in Australia and needed to know how to talk on the phone). So we set that up and Ito-sensei said we could definitly share the gospel with them too.

Rode bikes home in the dark; stopped at the 7-11 (where the cool kids hang out apparantly), went home and had a nice long debriefing meeting.

Also did a few purikura (sticker pics) today :)

Quick facts...
> In Japan, rice is more expensive than it is in the US.

> You can purchase hot coffee and cold milk from the same vending machine.

> Less than 1% of Japanese are Christians.
