Coming up in this entry: classes, we meet Yumi, and more classes!

11pm

Slept in again today....

Went on a long bike ride around town in the rain...

Biked to church @ 11am for the daycare English classes; played "Red light green light" with the whole group and sang our 2 Bible songs. I tried to teach my class letters & animals... the 2 boys (Taiga-kun and Riku-chan) still like to fight and mess around alot of the time, but they seem to be learning. We all had lunch with our kids and enjoyed their cute company.

Burned some pics to CD for Ito-sensei and he burned his for me, whee! His are all huge!

Biked back home after that; Moe and I went to Yamagata City w/ translator-Noriko to invite Uta-san's daughter Yumi (Uta-san said she's not a Christian and is somewhat lonely, and wants her to meet us all), who works at a nifty flower/tea shop, to come to Mt Zao with us next Monday. I bought some flowery tea from Yumi as well :) Also made plans to go bowling next week after our American lunch.

After getting back home we walked to the one lady's gift shop on the corner (where we went the first day) and had tea & yummy mochi and bought some gifts for friends and fam. We wandered on to the Kamin and browsed funny shirts; I saw some Sailormoon stuff there too (my first anime love - popular again due to the live-action show currently on in Japan.)

It was back home again after that to prepare for classes. Ito-sensei picked us up around 4 and we went to the church to finish preparing. Jeri and I had our 1st class and then moe and Laurel's class joined us and we all did a skit for the combined classes - Jonah and the Whale (Moe was Jonah and the whiteboard was the whale); afterward we had food Ito-sensei ordered and got a chance to check our email. Then it was time for the Junior high class (taught by me and Laurel) - the students were shy but ripped through the lesson; we got to the chapter 2 dialogues o_O

Post-classes we hit the ball around with them which was fun; they seem to dig it.

Ito-sensei took us back home and we looked at all his pictures on the laptop... TONS of them!

Now it's late and I must sleep... early day tomorrow x_X

New! Guestbook!

Quick facts...
> In Japan, rice is more expensive than it is in the US.

> You can purchase hot coffee and cold milk from the same vending machine.

> Less than 1% of Japanese are Christians.

Reading...
"Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, 'Sword, go through that land'..."
--Ezekiel 14:17, NKJV (just a funny verse :D)

"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
--John 8:36, NKJV
