10:55pm - just showered.
We're a week away from halfway through the trip! :O
got up late today - 8:45! Made country/location cards for our English class version of "go fish" and cut them out. Rode bikes to church and tried playing Musical Chairs but kids started crying when they were left out, so we switched to the Hoky Poky. Sang the 2 songs we're teaching them and then had lunch with the kids with our bento boxes. :)
Went back home; Mr Aoki picked us up at 1:30 and took us to his calligraphy class where we "drew" (with the help of the sensei) some cool kanji with Mr Aoki looking on. The sensei then drew each of us our own personal kanji. Mr Aoki drove us back to his place for snacks and preperation-time. Jeri and I taught our "advanced" elementary class and it went well - throwing the balls @ each other's heads and laughing alot with the girls. They seemed to actually enjoy the class, which was cool to see. :)
Had dinner there at the Aoki's and Laurel and I prepared for the Jr. High class that was so rough last week... we set out candy and made sure to play a lot with the girls, and did English "Go Fish" twice using the somewhat funny cue cards we made. ("Are you from the moon?" "no, go fish!") Class ended a little early but it was all good.
Came back home, transferred pics to the laptop, and showered - everyone else is upstairs exercising with the big yoga ball, I think.
Ito-sensei called tonight and said we had a letter at the church, which we can get tomorrow... I wonder who it's from?
